1910s
Enter a free text date.
This picture postcard photograph of the Hotel Barstow in San Diego has an advertisement on the back placing it on the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and A Streets. The same H. B. Frisbie listed as manager officiated in a ceremony in Balboa Park in 1917, still with the manager's title. This photograph looks exactly the same as in PC-000-791, except that this one is apparently hand tinted, and there are flowers on the terrace, people on the sidewalk, and early automobiles in the streets. There is a seal of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 on the back of the card. A photograph of this hotel is in the collection of the San Diego History Center (#6921), dated 1916. It looks the same as in this view.
