Two views of this same hand-tinted photograph of the Holland Hotel are available in this postcard collection, with differences in coloring as well as fonts of the printed epigraphs. (The other is PC-000-806.) They both carry the publisher's number on the back, 9723. (The E. C. Kropp Co. operated from 1907-1956.) A postcard from the same run is held by the San Diego Public Library and described as a "lithographic color postcard." A similar view of the same building but with different structures shown on the left is dated 1918 in the collection of the San Diego History Center. A 1915 postcard, also at the San Diego History Center, advertises a store opening in the "Holland Hotel Building."
