This picture postcard of the La Cresta Motel ("motor court") shown in a line drawing was dated by two sellers in 2013 as 1939, which matches the postmark on the back of this card. At the time of this card its address on El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, was part of Highway 80, but from 1964 to 1974 the San Diego portion of Highway 80 was decommissioned in line with the completion of Interstate 8. As of 2012 the motel sign and building still exist at the same address.
