The publisher of this picture postcard featuring an unidentified San Diego house only operated between 1910 and 1915. The Benham Company printed their cards as tinted halftone line blocks. On the back of this card are a seal of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 and a paragraph about a product, "Southern California Views." This advertisement promises to send a selection from a series of 300 San Diego "views," 10 or more for a penny each. The same view is printed on a card (PC-000-756) from a different publisher during the same time frame. A copy of that picture postcard is also held at the San Diego Public Library, which has identified the depicted structure as a historic house that stood at the corner of Third Avenue and Walnut Avenue.
