The publisher operated between 1901 and 1915; this card is numbered 6640. In 2013 Front Street is interrupted by Interstate 5 but otherwise runs from the Harbor on the south to West Maple on the north, ending one block north of Laurel Street that leads to the western entrance of Balboa Park. "Upper" Front may refer to the northern reaches of Front Street, since people in the US generally equate "north" with "up." The left side of the back of the card is reserved for return addresses rather than messages.
