This picture postcard of downtown San Diego from a height is hand-tinted and bears a seal of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915. On the back Eno & Matteson offer a series of 300 Southern Callifornia Views, of which this is one, for a penny a card in cash or postage sent to them in San Diego. If the wide street leading from just left of the right corner into the right-hand border above is Broadway, then the view is looking northwest, probably from about Third Avenue. (There is a "6th Street Store" facing the viewer that is apparently on the last street coming into Broadway from the left.)
