The publisher of this card, M. Rieder, was active from 1901 to 1915, thus helping to limiting the date range of this picture postcard. Another limiting factor is the "undivided back" of the card. In 1907 postal regulations changed, and a message was allowed on postcard backs; postcard publishers were quick to divide the cards and expand the pictures. The card appears to be hand tinted, showing a view over San Diego and San Diego Bay, with Point Loma, and the North and South "Islands" of Coronado.
