C.T. Art-Colortone (Curt Teich), Chicago, Illinois, US
The reverse of this picture postcard showing the patio of La Casa Blanca restaurant gives the address as 2734 Calhoun Street, in Old Town, San Diego, California. That address is in 2013 the location of the El Fandango Mexican restaurant, whose Web site claims that the site was that of the Jose Manuel Machado home that burned in 1858. A matchbook available on the Flickr site in 2013 shows the Calhoun Street location, but also an address in La Mesa, California, east of San Diego, 7856 La Mesa Blvd., which is not the same as an address current in this year for a Casa Blanca restaurant in La Mesa. The Curt Teich number in he stampbox on the back is 1C-H542, decoding to the year 1951.
