This picture postcard from the "Animal Color Series from the San Diego Zoo" identifies the animal in the picture section as a "Callifornia Gray Fox." The gray fox ranges throughout North American from the Canadian border south to northern South America, including California. This fox is shown on a high branch of its climbing structure, looking down to its left. The characteristic black tail stripe can be seen on the right.
