Parrots climb on the wall and ceiling of a bird cage for parrots and cockatoos at the San Diego Zoo

 

 

 

 

This is a color picture postcard that appears to be a hand-tinted black-and-white photograph. The colors of the birds do not look lifelike, so it cannot be determined for sure whether the birds featured are parrots or cockatoos or which kinds, since the postcard inscription labels the cage as being for both species. A top corner of the cage is shown, with the roof and two walls, with six birds climbing the wall part of the fence, and two clinging upside down to the roof. The San Diego Zoo is in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. The publisher operated from 1914 to 1934.
