This color postcard is labeled is an "actual photo" of Kodiak bears, a male and a female. The blond bear on the left is probably the female, since blond bears are typically female. The larger brown bear on the left is probably the male. While she is standing on all fours in what appears to be shallow water, he is sitting straight up on stone or sand with his paws out in front of him, looking straight at the camera. The San Diego Zoo is in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. The image is an actual photograph rather than a printed reproduction. The back of the card states that it was "finished in West Germany." There are two numbers on the back of the card: ZA 85 S, and (P193).
