The San Diego State College yearbook (Del Sudoeste) for 1969 mentions that classes were held outdoors due to overcrowding. This is one of four photographs showing the same outdoor class on a lawn, including NEG-00-512, NEG-00-514, and NEG-00-515. Hardy Tower is in the background. The class is sitting about where the Mediterranean Garden fountain will later be.
