Lily Pond and eucalytus trees with Casa del Prado, Balboa Park, San Diego, California
Across the Lagoon (Reflecting Pool, Laguna de Espejo, Laguna de las Flores, later Lily Pond) is the Food and Beverages Building, created for the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 as the Varied Industries and Food Products Building. In 1916 it was known as the Foreign and Domestic Industries Building, the Palace of Foods and Beverages during the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935, and later the County Fair Building. The building was demolished, and a bond issue in 1968 approved the restoration of the building as the Casa del Prado, dedicated on the same site in 1971. Both expositions were held in San Diego's Balboa Park.
