The California Building in Balboa Park is shown with the California Tower. These buildings were also known as the California State Building during the Panama-California Exposition of 1915-16 for which the complex was built, designed by Bertram Goodhue (1969-1924). The California Building (with the dome) became the San Diego Museum, then the San Diego Museum of Man.
