San Diego Natural History Museum, Balboa Park
The main entrance to the San Diego Natural History Museum in San Diego's Balboa Park. Designed by William Templeton Johnson (1877-1957) and called the "Palace of Natural History" during the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935, the Museum was dedicated in 1933. It was built on the site of the former Southern Counties Building of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915, and underwent a major renovation in 2001.
