Terrace of Cafe del Rey Moro in the Hospitality House, Balboa Park, with the Wishing Well
House of Hospitality, terrace of Cafe del Rey Moro with Wishing Well in foreground. This building was originally designed by Carleton M. Winslow, Sr., and constructed for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915 as the Foreign Arts or Foreign Liberal Arts Building, becoming the House of Hospitality for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935. The restaurant was renamed The El Prado after the building was demolished and reconstructed in 1993. The wishing well is in the immediate foreground at the bottom, with steps going up in two stages to the terrace, where umbrellas protect diners from the San Diego sunshine. Behind the viewer would be the Casa del Rey Moro Gardens
