Lily Pond, Balboa Park, San Diego, California
Union Oil Company
A woman looks down at the Laguna de las Flores ( Lily Pond) in San Diego's Balboa Park from the balustrade separating the large sound pond or lagoon from the north pond, or lagunita, although they are connected at water level. This body of water, also called Laguna de Espejo or Reflecting Pool, was created in front of the Botanical Garden and Conservatory (glimpsed on the right behind the woman) for the Panama-California Exposition of 1915.
