Terrace of and garden of Cafe Del Rey Moro, House of Hospitality in San Diego's Balboa Park during management by Bernice R. (here "Bea") and Garner P. (here "Jerry") Dicus (1921-1999) from 1962 to 1964. The original building was designed by Carleton M. Winslow (1910-1946) and constructed for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915 as the Foreign Arts or Foreign Liberal Arts Building, becoming the House of Hospitality. Architect Richard Requa constructed this area, the Casa del Rey Moro Gardens, after the demolition of the south wing of the original building. After its demolition and reconstruction in 1993, the House of Hospitality shelters the restaurant named The El Prado, constructed to be reminiscent of the Cafe del Rey Moro (cafe of the Moorish King).
