John D. (1853-1926) and Adolph B. Spreckels (1857-1924) donated the Spreckels pipe organ to the City of San Diego in 1914 for the Panama-California Exposition of 1915. The Exposition was held in San Diego's Balboa Park to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal. This view of the Pavilion is from the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935. Both expositions were held in San Diego's Balboa Park.
