Cabrillo Bridge (Puente de Cabrillo) was built for the Panama-Callifornia International Exposition of 1915-1916 and subsequently was used for the California Pacific Exposition of 1935-1936, carrying traffic on El Prado street to the west entrance to Balboa Park. Its designers were Frank Phillips Allen, Jr. (1881-1943), and Thomas B. Hunter, with construction and opening in 1914.
