[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
The California Tower was designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924), and built as part of the Callifornia State Building complex for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915. During the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935, also held in Balboa Park, the buildings were known as the Palace of Science or Palace of Science of Man. In the foreground on the left is a pergola built for the Montezuma Gardens and remaining in the Alcazar Garden for the 1935 Exposition. The publisher's number 4401 is in the top left white border. In the bottom right side border is the Teich number 3A-H1385, from which the date is derived. This is a linen card produced as part of series for the 1935 exposition.
