[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
Standard Oil's Tower of the Sun is in the distance (left) with the fountains in the foreground. The changing colors in the water were controlled by music. Constructed for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935 held in San Diego's Balboa Park, the fountains were later replaced by a parking lot. The Teich number in the lower right corner of the white border is 5A-H1146, from which the date was derived. The publisher's number 4432 is in the upper left white border. This is a linen card produced as part of series for the 1935 exposition.
