This view from the Plaza de Pacifico (Plaza de Panama) shows the lagoon (Laguna de las Flores, later Laguna de Espejo or Reflecting Pool, also Lily Pond) and California Building (designed by Bertram Goodhue, 1869-1924) and Tower (originally California State Building) built for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915. For the purposes of the California Pacific International Exposition in 1935 in San Diego's Balboa Park, the California Tower and Building were known as the "Palace of Science." The California Building and adjacent Administrative Building continued in use first as the San Diego Museum and then the San Diego Museum of Man. On the far right is the tower of the Palace of Photography, built for the 1915 Exposition as the Science and Education Building, also known as the Medical Arts Building and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building, which was razed in the 1960s. The Teich number in the lower right white border is 5A-H1134, from which the date was derived. The publisher's number 45 is in the upper left border. This is a linen card produced as part of series for the 1935 exposition.
