"Natural color" post card of the California State Building built for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935 held in San Diego's Balboa Park. The four large murals on the front of the building illustrated California history and were designed by Orville Goldner (1906-1985). This building later became the Armory for the 251st Coast Artillery (1937). In the middle of the Plaza de America (here in the left foreground) were the Firestone Singing Fountains, now a parking lot. The murals are no longer on the building in 2013, when it is the San Diego Automotive Museum.
