[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
This building is on the northwest corner of the Plaza de America, along the west side of what was the Avenida de Naciones. The Pueblo Indian style, by the Exposition's architect Richard Smith Requa (1881-1941), matched the desert landscaping, not represented in this picture. Inside was a motion-picture memorabilia museum and a movie sound stage, where performances were rehearsed and filmed. The exposition for which this was built was held in San Diego's Balboa Park, where the Hall of Fame subsequently became the Palisades Building. The Teich number in the lower right white border is 5A-H1151, from which the date was derived. This is a linen card produced as part of series for the 1935 exposition. The publisher's number in the upper left border is 4427.
