San Diego State University was one of three universities on the West Coast to be designated a Bicentennial campus by the US Government, and from several similar photographs in the context of Centennial signs, this would appear to be a kiosk prepared for that year-long celebration. The unidentified builders pose here in their workshop before installing the television screen shown in other photographs of this kiosk that include NEG-00-283 through NEG-00-293, and NEG-009-295 through NEG-00-299. A photograph behind the builders is of then University President Brage Golding (1972-1977).
