Flight instructor Johnny Coats and William Tascher stand next to a single-engine airplane on the grounds of Speer Airport. This was the airport at which the "Spirit of St. Louis" made its maiden flight. Tascher had the year before helped make a parody of the film "Beau Geste." He later wrote two letters to the Aztec News Letter, digitized in this database.
