Paper by Lauren C. Post
Post, Lauren C.
Post writes this paper in honor of the 134 San Diego State College students "who gave up their lives in military service during World War II." Post notes that "Aztecs participated so actively in the war" that more than 3,000 current and former students and faculty entered the armed forces. He details the trends in service seen in former State students and includes a "special mention" of the important part Aztec women played in the war effort. Post closes his paper with a description of the Aztec News Letter and its successor, the Aztec Alumni News. The final three pages of the paper are comprised of an alphabetical listing of the San Diego State alumni who lost their lives during the war.
