Crouch, Donald J.
Camp Hale is called a "U. S. Army Ski Cantonment" on this stationery. It "is a wonderful place in one, and only one respect," that there are "real beds and not G. I. [general issue] Army beds." After reveille, they "go to the stables and "drag forth the mules." There is one consolation, and that is"being able to ski 8 to 9 months a year," since "there are two seasons of the year, Winter and July."
