Chandler, John A.
Victory Mail is Chandler's only choice, with stationery "unobtainable." He has "nothing to do except swim, eat, sleep, and dig deeper into our foxholes," although raids are infrequent. His camp is close to Chuck Ables's, and he saw Jim MacPherson. Tired of canned food, he dreams "of lettuce and tomato salads." They are mopping up after the Guadalcanal Campaign. Victory Mail, shipped as microfilm, was developed for delivery.
