Benson, Frederick A.
Since Benson's ship, the United States Ship Lexington, was sunk in May of 1942, he was in transit to the United States or on leave until four months ago. Writing on memorandum paper of a Carrier Aircraft Service Unit, he lists men from San Diego State College, football games and movies he saw, movies and plays he intends to see. When he "hits the bunk" he will dream of "Monty," the iconic Montezuma sculpture at State.
Frederick Benson; Jim Kinsella; Bob Exeter; Forrest Brown; Jack Bartholdi; Joe Irick; Jim Floto; George Sorenson; Football games; Fraternities; Tau Delta Chi; United States Navy; United States Naval Reserve; USS Lexington (CV-2); "Junior Miss" (play); Montezuma sculpture ("The Aztec")
