Bankerd, Lincoln
Bankerd had hoped to run into people from San Diego State College while in North Africa, but never did. He sees some with the same Army/Air post office box, so he still hopes to see Jerry Niederman or Larry Devlin, with whose father he served "on the west coast." He received a letter from Dean Charles Peterson. After 18 months overseas, he will "almost feel like a 'furriner'" (foreigner) in the United States.
