Addleson, Herman H.
Addleson writes on stationery with the insignia of the Paratroops at Fort Benning. Now a "qualified Paratrooper" and proud of it, he made five jumps. He describes in detail the conditions of his first jump--the weather, the schedule, the crew, and the psychological state of himself and his group. He is going to specialist school "to become a rigger." Addleson was killed in action on D-Day at Normandy, June 6, 1944.
