Ables, Charles N.
Ables says "there's never a dull moment in the Marine Corps," but he can't elaborate due to censorship. He sees Jack Chandler, who joined the service on the same day. The only other alumnus of San Diego State College he has seen is Jim McPherson. He taught all those in his tent the Aztec Fight Song, and it spread to the whole camp, which "sounds funny down here in the South Pacific. "
