Wade, Robert A.
After being "somewhere in something" for so long Wade will be "Somewhere in San Diego" as a permanent address. His unit was one of the first to land "in the invasion" of North Africa and he saw combat that was "plenty for me." Living in pup tents, the soldiers are cold. Mostly they miss mail, none for two months, and candy bars. They have money but nothing to buy. He describes their environment and routines.
