Slayen, Elijah Al
This press release from Fort Riley is about the great-grandson of Ulysses S. Grant now serving under Sergeant John Keogh from New Orleans, the grandson of Union soldiers who served under Grant the first. A former inspector in an airplane factory, Grant the fifth lived with his wife and mother in San Diego before joining the cavalry because he liked horses. A note at the bottom from Elijah Slavin gives the source of the release.
