Pease, Esther E.
A "skirted soldier" writes that the newsletter "strikes a predominantly masculine note," but Lieutenant Pease is grateful for it. After basic training, she was assigned to the recruiting service, "a twenty-four hour a day job, week-ends no exceptions." She hasn't lost sight of "the fact that our main purpose is to take over the jobs and replace men so they can be released for active combat duty."
