Boynton, Ray (1883-1951)
Contains both rural and industrial scenes of California. A bronze plaque commemorates the inner signal station on Telegraph Hill in 1849 and the first western telegraph in 1853. A boy holds a book with the date of Coit Tower (1933) and of the PWAP (1934). Artist Gordon Langon is portrayed as a farmhand and the artist's wife Kathleen Boynton harvests grapes.
