Originally the "San Diego Free Press" (1968-1969), the "Street Journal and San Diego Free Press," sometimes referred to as the "San Diego Street Journal," or simply "Street Journal," was an underground publication active from 1969-1970. This cover photograph is of a dead protester at Kent State University, shot on May 4, 1970.
