The cover art was by Tony Paliadino, with writing by Kenneth Koch, Frank O'Hara, Gunther Schuller, and Allen Ginsberg; drawings by Robert Rauschenberg; and reproductions and criticism of art by Jasper Johns, Ad Reinhardt, and Mark Rothko. Advertisements are for major liquor and automobile manufacturers, as well as ones for The Modern Jazz Quartet and WBAI FM radio (New York).
