Behind Scott is a crowd of people and thick trees in the background. This might have been the beginning or end of the parade, or a rally following it. Scott (1948-1989) was an early president of the San Diego Democratic Club, which changed its name to San Diego Democrats for Equality. This photograph was taken sometime in the mid-1980s through 1988, based on Scott's demise in February 1989.
