Green was an American conductor, composer, songwriter, and musical arranger whose career began in the late 1920s. He performed as the guest conductor of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra on July 28th and 30th, 1978, for the Summer of Stars Series. He also guest conducted a special Fourth of July performance for the symphony in 1978.
