Sidlin is an American conductor who studied at the Peabody Conservatory and has served orchestras throughout the United States. He began guest conducting the San Diego Symphony Orchestra in 1988. He conducted the Classical Hits series with the symphony for eight years (1988-1996) and served as the artistic director and principal conductor of the Symphony's summer Pops series for several seasons (1993-1996).
