"Yours in the Struggle," Jess Jessop's AIDS quilt panel, 1990

AIDS quilt panels were displayed before being sent to the national quilt. This one was hung outside the Archives Jessop had founded three years before as the Lesbian and Gay Archives of San Diego. A purple fist and arm are at the center of a red heart in the center of a pink triangle, with rectangles at the sides for "The Center" and the "Lesbian/Gay Archives," Jessop's heritage.
