Interviewers: Gilbody, Diane; White, Docie
Interview with artist Julia Andrews about her recollections of the local art institutions in San Diego. Interview conducted for the oral history archive project at the San Diego Museum of Art. The interviewers are from the Junior League of San Diego, on a "committee at the San Diego Museum of Art which involves the archives." They were looking at her catalog of paintings from 1947 for the Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego. They ask about Reginald Poland. There is a lot of noise from clothing rubbing against a microphone, etc. There was a Julia F. Andrews who was a lecturer in art history and appreciation at San Diego State College, mentioned in a summer Los Angeles catalog from Los Angeles; and a Julia G. who was retired faculty in 1957. At about 3 minutes the sound problems are resolved.
