Built for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935-1936, the Palace of Travel, Transportation, and Water had a separate entrance for the Water Palace that faced the rear of the Organ Pavilion, with three spouts that poured water around the entrance. Here it is shown at night reflected in the water. Located between the Organ Pavilion and the Federal Building, this building had exhibits that included a miniature working model of the Santa Fe Railroad between San Diego and Chicago that was a precursor to the later San Diego Model Railroad Museum in the Casa de Balboa. The Exposition was held in San Diego's Balboa Park, and this building was demolished after the exposition to make room for a parking lot.
