Curt Teich
This hand-tinted picture postcard has a seal of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915, as well as a Curt Teich number on the reverse: R-18346. It shows Coronado Island as separate from North Island, only partly seen toward the top on the right. Above it on the horizon on the right is Point Loma. Along with Coronado Island, the Hotel del Coronado is labeled at the top left of the photograph, as is the "Torpedo Boat Station" on Coronado Island, which, according to the San Francisco Call newspaper of April 11, 1911, was a target-prctice range. The logo of the Benham Co. also appears on the back of the card.
