This picture postcard shows a view from across the street of the Bali Hai Polynesian-style restaurant on Shelter Island. Using the white lines of the crosswalk as a guide, one can barely see Mr. Bali Hai Tiki at the entrance to the restaurant, and on the roof is the "Goof" face and headdress surviving from the earliest days of the establishment, when it was part of a chain of bars spawned by the filming of "Mutiny on the Bounty."
