Looking north onto the Plaza de America from the top of the Ford Building during the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935 held in San Diego's Balboa Park. Centered are the Firestone Singing Fountains (later a parking lot), and the Standard Oil Tower to the Sun at the far north end. The Palace Of Electricity and Varied Industries (later the Palace of General Exhibits, then San Diego Municipal Gymnasium) is on the right, across from the California State Building (1935, subsequently the San Diego Automotive Museum). In the distance on the far left can be seen the California Tower, part of the Exposition of 1915 California State Building complex but called the tower of the Palace of Science during the 1935 Exposition. The Teich number in the lower right white border is 5A-H1153, from which the date was derived.
