C. C. Pierce & Co., Los Angeles, Callifornia
The interior of the Hollywood home of painter Paul de Longpre (1855-1911) is shown here. Built in 1901 and demolished around 1920, it was designed by architect Louis Bourgeois. After an 1896 New York exhibit brought him fame, de Longpre, known for his paintings of flowers, moved to Hollywood in 1899. His home and garden constituted a stop on the "Balloon Excursion" run by the Los Angeles streetcar companies. This is the same as PC-001-273 except for a label giving the location, placed at the left lower corner. This card has no information other than the copyright owner (bottom right) and the publisher on the back.
